Permatex Hylomar Universal Blue Racing Formula Gasket Dressing and Flange Sealant has been adopted worldwide by many automotive manufacturers and countless race teams for sealing gas and diesel engines and transmissions. This non-chlorinated gasketing and sealing compound has been specially formulated to be non-setting and non-hardening at elevated temperatures. Even at these high temperatures, Universal Blue Racing formula remains flixible and tackly, allowing repeated disassembly and reassembly in high performance applications. This no-run formula seals surface imperfections on machined flanges and is vibration resistant. Non-running formula is ideal for vertical applications. Temperature range of -60F to +500F (-50C to +260C); resists engine fluids, including water, coolant, gasoline, lubricating oils, kerosene and some refrigerants. Also possesses dust and moisture proofing properties. Suggested Applications: - Thermostat housings - Head, oil pan, and valve cover gaskets - Differential coverings - Hydraulic drives and motors - Gearbox assemblies - Intake manifold assemblies - Oil, fuel and water pump housings and seals - Fuel injectors and fuel pumps - Transmission and torque converter seals

Hylomar is a very good product, just thought i would mention that this is a 1.2 ounce tube not a 12 ounce tube...It would be a real bargain if it was a 12 ounce tube

This comes in handy for plumbing as well as automotive uses. While it is expensive, nothing I've tried works as well.

This was the third different product that I have tried to seal my rubber gasket on my 96 buell S2T Motorcycle. Like they say, the third time is the charm. This Hylomar worked absolutely amazing. I will never use anything else.

this stuff is great. why permatex decided not to openly market it as they had in the past is a mystery. It works well as a gasket sealer that will not harden. Hold water, oil, gas, etc.
