Bosch ICON Wiper Blades December 19, 2008 I installed the Bosch ICON 422A and 420B on my 2004 Chevrolet Malibu in December of 2006. They served through a relatively harsh winter (for Dallas) and record hot summer, and it wasn't until the end of 2007 that they started streaking a little bit. I replaced them in mid-December 2007 with Valero Ultimate bracketless wipers. The Valeros were cheaper, they are not quite as attractive, but more importantly, they started leaving single-line streaks within a couple months of use. This did not make them completely unusable, just a little annoying. The ICONs left my windshield noticeably clearer for a much longer period of time. The only significant drawbacks I have noticed are (1) high cost (about double that of traditional wiper blades), and (2) on GM cars with Wet-Arm(tm)--windshield washer nozzles attached to the wiper arm--the integrated spoiler prevents the washer fluid from being sprayed in front of the wiper as it sweeps upward. You still get even fluid distribution behind the wiper, though.
Worked great.. for a while August 9, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I replaced my original factory wipers with these. They did an amazing job for about 6 months and then they started to streak. Not sure how long wipers are supposed to last, but 6 months seems kind of short. Especially when I live in southern California and it probably only rained 4 times in those six months.
Great wipers! July 8, 2008 You'll never go back to conventional wipers after these. Smooth, no chattering, wipes clean without streaking, and very easy to install. Note: no snow where I live, so I don't know how they perform in cold climates
Bosch 422A ICON Wiper Blade - 22" June 17, 2008 I've had nothing but trouble with all my previous windshield wiper blades and so I thought I would take the plunge and spend the money for the "susposedly" best blades on the maket. Much to my surprise (because most claims these days are false), these blades are "GRATE!" For example I got caught in a really bad rain storm driving back from Michigan a week or so ago and I could actually see out the windows :-) Then too, in my everyday driving experincing rain they have not left the "usual" streak on the windshild. My advise to anyone wanting new blades -- buy these.
They work great April 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have no complaints about these blades. I have them installed on a pickup truck. I had not found a blade that would not leave streaks when it rained. I even had beenn using Rainx in harmony with the other blades. These work the best, now it is a matter of how long they will keep up this great performance. I have had them install for a couple on months now.
