Excellent value for a tasty product. December 1, 2008
We've been using Spike for years and years in our home - we put it on salad, pasta, potato: anything, really. There's nothing like Spike to dress up a meal.
However, Spike can be very expensive - you find it in small boxes from health food stores. This 5-pound tub is a wonderful value, and should last a LONG time. I couldn't believe when I found this on Amazon.
We keep our tub in the freezer for preservation; I'm sure it isn't necessary, but it doesn't seem to hurt the flavor.

This is the best way to buy Spike.You save money and it is a wonderful all purpose seasoning.I use it instead of salt.

I have used Spike, for years. As many other people say, it is getting hard to find. I use it on everything, from meat to salad. It's a major staple, at my house. I am really running low, and did a search, for Spike, on the internet, and found it here, at Amazon. I was getting frantic, that I was going to run out, and not be able to find it. Ha! We just can't do without it. It's the best seasoning on the market!

Excellent seasoning used on meats, chicken, fish, vegetables and the best seasoning for vinaigrette dressing. For one 12 oz. package mixed salad greens with carrots (re-rinsed and drained) add tomato, cucumber, celery as you like. In a cup, add 1 tablespoon olive oil, 2 tablespoons wine vinegar (or apple cider vinegar), 1 rounded teaspoon Spike and blend well, pour over salad and toss to coat, adding sea salt and fresh ground pepper to taste. Everyone loves this dressing! I'm always asked to bring the salad to parties. Unlike a number of other seasoning blends, there is no MSG in Spike.
