Tastes great less filling November 13, 2008 We have used the pur filtration systems for years now and they always make great tasting water. I would recommend the pitcher, the faucet contraption or the the camping pump to anyone.
I hope you have time on your hands! September 11, 2008 My family has used a Pur pitcher for at least a decade (and a Brita before that) and lately I just got fed up with the Pur. The last 2 filters we bought are so slow to filter the water, sometimes it sits in the top for hours. Then when you forget to wait and try to pour, the lid pops off and water spills everywhere. A waste of time and money. You should try the Clear2O Premium Water Filtration Pitcher, it's perfect!
Brita review June 18, 2008 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I like the Brita water pitcher very much. The size is just right for storing on the top shelf of my refrigerator, and the filtering is quick enough for a refill. The one thing I suggest is don't try to pour from the pitcher right after filling it because the water from the top compartment ends up on the counter. This seems obvious - I should have seen this coming.

CRACK! Goes the weasel June 15, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
(This is based on an experience with the same pitcher, but with an LED thing in the lid)
I second what the other reviewer said...it cracks on its own...the worst part is, PUR said it's not covered under warranty because it's a "wear and tear" item. It sits in the fridge... They kept me going in circles and after the 30 day satisfaction guarantee expired, they then told me I could have returned it within the first 30 days but now it's too late. For a product based on the razor/razor-blade business model (I'm sure the real money for them is made from the filters, not the pitchers), this is a horrible way for them to deal with the situation. Oh, and I had another one leak within a few weeks. The water is makes is great, but if I wanted crack I'd either call a cable tech/plumber guy over or go to Columbia.
Its ok March 7, 2008 Its better than nothing. The good things I notice is that it does filter water. Thats pretty much it. As far as how long the filter lasts, I would say 3-4 months. The main problem I have is having to refill the thing. In fact, its pretty much the reason I want to switch to the faucet mount. You pretty much have to refill it every two glasses of water if you want to keep it full.
