Canon VIXIA outperforms expectations August 25, 2010

I am very pleased with the picture quality in both outdoor and indoor video shots. The video looks amazing on an HD TV. The interface is extremely easy to use once you learn what buttons do what. Playback on the monitor is gorgeous. Love the fact that you can watch whatever clip in whatever order and go right back to videoing in a matter of seconds. Low light video was also fantastic on my recent trip to a Greek winery. Have recommended this video to several friends and family! Prior camcorders were both Sony (liked those as well, but nearly as much as this Canon).
Absolutely SUPERB HD video camera August 22, 2010

This is my first HD video camera and will be the last for a long while. The features are excellent and the quality of the images are absolutely tremendous. Transferring images from the camera to my computer is a snap too. Mainly because I have an iMac and it's a very simple process with iMovie. I HIGHLY recommend the Canon VIXIA HF S200 camera.

Really love it. Picture quality can't be beat for the price. Batter life says about 80 minutes when fully charged. Pictures kinda stink in low light. Other than that the IS is great, zoom feature is great, and it's smaller than you think. Overall I think it is great for the price!
Fantastic camera August 20, 2010

First non-Sony camera, but I felt this Canon gave biggest bang for buck.
The screen should be drool-proof ;-) Like an iPhone 4.
Face recognition. Ultra light. Many options.
Downside is that it is USB and does not load into FCP. Seems to load via
iMovie and will figure a way to cross that bridge.
